On Saturday 21st July, Royal Wharf will host a Summer Fete between 11.00am and 7.00pm in the new Royal Wharf Park. The Summer Fete will take advantage of the Great British summer, providing the perfect opportunity to experience life at London’s newest neighbourhood.
Guests of all ages are invited to join the summer extravaganza with outdoor games, live music and some of the best seasonal food and drink east London has to offer. A selection of artisan street food will be on sale throughout the day, while friends and family can take part in a variety of challenges and workshops, such as balloon making, face painting and hula hooping. For those seeking a healthy start to the day, there will be free yoga sessions at 10am in the park, providing the perfect opportunity to embrace Royal Wharf’s greenery and proximity to the river. A soundtrack to the celebrations will be provided by the internationally acclaimed singer-songwriter Robbie Boyd, with a local brass band also providing musical accompaniment.
Hosted by Ballymore & Oxley, proceeds from the event will go to Richard House Children’s Hospice, a charity that supports children and their families in East London to lead as positive and happy a life as possible when dealing with a life-limiting health condition. The charity have organised a traditional sports day for the Fete, with a number of events taking place for all the family to enjoy. All proceeds from the Sports Day will go towards this worthy cause.
